Mt. Healthy Junior High Promotes Active Learning Through Outdoor Activities
Check out this recent initiative aimed at fostering active learning among students! Mt. Healthy teachers Ms. Lakes, Ms. Nielsen, and Ms. Vondohre, took their classes outdoors for a unique learning experience.
During this outdoor session, students reviewed key English Language Arts (ELA) concepts and vocabulary while engaging in a fun activity. They were given a question, navigated through obstacles, wrote their answers on the sidewalk, and raced back to their teams. This approach encouraged teamwork and reinforced ELA concepts in an interactive way.
We believe in making learning engaging for our students and this outdoor activity was a great way for students to work together and review key concepts. The event received positive feedback from both students and staff, highlighting the effectiveness of interactive learning methods. Thank you to Ms. Lakes, Ms. Nielsen, and Ms. Vondohre for their innovative approach to education, promoting active participation and a positive learning environment.
