Last night, our Board of Education Meeting was a special occasion as we recognized and honored outstanding educators in our district who have demonstrated exceptional commitment and dedication to the academic growth of our students. Join us in applauding these phenomenal teachers:
North Elementary:
Constance Conrad - Grade 6
Jennifer Mutters - Grade 6
Michelle Southerington - Grade 4
South Elementary:
Karen Black - Grade 5
Heather Butts - Grade 6
Quanika Lampley - Grade 5
Junior High School:
Joel Bartlett - Grade 8
Each of these educators has exemplified excellence in the growth determination process, also known as Value Added in Ohio. Value-added modeling is a statistical analysis used to measure the academic growth rates of groups of students from year to year. It assesses the change in achievement for students within a tested grade or subject, such as Science, Reading, or Math.
Our honored teachers have demonstrated significant evidence that their students made more growth than what was expected for similar students who tested in the same grade and subject. This achievement showcases their positive learning environment and how they ensure the success of every student.
Pictures from the event are attached (Joel Bartlett is not pictured). Let's continue to support and appreciate these remarkable educators who play a vital role in shaping the future of our students.
