College Credit Plus Program


Basics Of College Credit Plus-

  • Open to all students who qualify for college admission in grades 7-12
  • High School Students may not take more than 30 college credit hours per academic year and not more than 120 college credit hours in high school
  • Students can also take classes in the summer and have it covered under the College Credit Plus program for High School/ College Credit for the following academic year (2018-2019)
  • 3 college credits will equal 1 high school credit - If less than 3 college credits convert proportionally.
  • College classes are given the same weight as honors or AP courses in equivalent subject areas.
  • No student qualifying as economically disadvantaged may be charged for tuition, fees, or books.  Students may be charged for parking.  Non-economically disadvantaged students cannot be charged for classes through public institutions of higher education but may be charged for classes through private institutions of higher education.  
  • Students who fail a class or drop a class after the deadline may also be charged for the class

Local College Application Processes-

This is just a highlight of the requirements/expectations if you plan to apply please read the specific college web page listed in detail

Students must first submit their

“Intent to Participate” letter to Ms. Riddle by APRIL 1st

Cincinnati State



English & Social Sciences:

  • Successful completion of two units of College Prep English/ Language Arts with a minimum of a B average and the high school’s recommendation, OR
  • An ACT sub-score of 18 in English and 21 in Reading, or score college ready on Cincinnati State's placement test.

Math & Sciences:

  • Successful completion of Algebra II or its equivalent with a minimum of a B average and the high school’s recommendation, OR
  • ​An ACT sub-score of 22 in Math, or score college ready on Cincinnati State's placement test.

Technical Courses:

  • Other requirements may be identified specific to each course.

Deadline- Summer March 1st- Fall -May 1st

Application Process-

  1. Gather your SSID number from Ms. Riddle
  2. Apply online at (Apply Now on left hand side)
  3. Complete and submit the College Credit Plus Authorization Worksheet and submit your transcript (Submit to Ms. Riddle)
  4. Summer semester deadline to apply is March 1st
  5. Fall Semester deadline to apply is May 1st.
  6. Attend an Orientation and Advising Session- You must reserve spot on-line (Not necessary for Psych, US History 1&2)

University of Cincinnati (Main Campus)


Eligibility- Same rigor as incoming freshman- ACT Remediation free standards

English 18, Reading 22, Math, 22, and overall holistic review.

ACT scores must be received by APRIL 1st directly from ACT.

Deadline- Summer and Fall – April 1st.

Application Process-

  1. Scores must be sent directly from ACT
  2. Complete on-line application and fill out the CCP Authorization form (See UC College Credit Plus Web page) and give you to your counselor.
  3. Have your counselor send the Authorization form and high school transcripts
  4. Students will receive an email with a decision letter and will be required to complete academic advising and registration if accepted.  Students will need to set up a UConnect Student Email Account if accepted and check it regularly.

University of Cincinnati (Blue Ash)


Eligibility: Same as UC Main Campus (See above)

Deadline- May 1st. Summer/Fall term

Application Process:

  1. Apply On-Line
  2. Submit your authorization worksheet and give to Ms. Riddle to send in with your transcript.
  3. Ensure your ACT scores are sent FROM ACT

Miami University-Hamilton


Eligibility- ACT Reading 22 and English 18 or Accuplacer Score Equivalents: Reading Score Equivalent: 80 or higher, Writeplacer Score Equivalent: 5 or higher, Mathematics Score Equivalent: 55CLM (College Level Math) or higher

DEADLINES- April 1st for summer Term- May 1st Fall 2018 Term

Application Process: 1. Complete the CCP Admission Application (Available in February) 2. Download and complete the CCP Signature Page. 3.
