Mt. Healthy High School Hosts 2nd Annual College and Career Fair for Juniors and Seniors

It’s the time of year when high school seniors are preparing their college applications and reviewing their options and high school juniors are looking at their prospects.  In order to assist in the process of guiding the students toward the enroll, employ, or enlist pathways, Mt. Healthy High School hosted a College and Career Fair for the juniors and seniors in the school. The event, held during the day, provided students with the best opportunities in multiple areas of interest and options. Among the different resources, 22 colleges/universities attended. In addition, Great Oaks Career Campuses, Job Corps, At Work Cincy, and Ohio Laborer’s Apprenticeship Local 265 provided opportunities into career-training centers. There were seven local businesses looking for immediate employees upon graduation, and three areas of the Armed Forces were available to provide students the opportunity to pre-enlist or open the prospective door for more information.

Furthermore, high school seniors and juniors attended a forum where speakers described their journeys and where their pathways have led them. Four of the speakers, Kenny Glenn, Brooke Shirley, Tina Hubbard, and Kenitra Battle, are Mt. Healthy High School graduates, which provided a better perspective and insight for current students. The final speaker, Dr. Gaitlin, for seniors is a Chemist for Procter & Gamble and delivered her journey to her current position while earning a PhD. Students had the ability to ask questions at the end of the forums.
