Seniors at Mt. Healthy High School have been touring local universities to allow them different perspectives in colleges and programs. Counselors and staff at Mt. Healthy High School recognize the importance of students’ opportunities to see what is available to them; therefore, they prepare special field trip days for college-bound students to attend. As a result, over 35 students toured University of Cincinnati and 26 toured Northern Kentucky University. Students have also visited Cincinnati State Career and Technical College. Many students’ parents may not have the ability to take off work to tour colleges with them, so this provides the opportunity for these students. Students also have the ability to tour Great Oaks Adult Career Campuses, which offers career-training courses for students once they graduate high school.
